The National Agriculture and Rural Inclusive Growth Project (NARIGP) is a Government of Kenya (GoK) project that is implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock Fisheries and Irrigation (MoALF&I), State Department for Crop Development (SDCD), with funding support from the World Bank. The project was approved by The World Bank board on 23rd August 2016, became effective on 28th July 2017 and will run for five years

The Project Development Objective (PDO) is “to increase agricultural productivity and profitability of targeted rural communities in selected Counties, and in the event of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency, to provide immediate and effective response”

NARIGP is financed through a loan from the World Bank and funding from GOK and County Governments (Counterpart funding) and matching grants from the community organization i.e.  Producer Organizations

How do I benefit from NARIGP as a farmer?2021-06-14T18:56:13+00:00

By joining a Common Interest Group (CIG) or a Vulnerable Marginalized Group (VMG).The CIGs/VMGs will federate into a Producer Organization (PO) that has a prioritized value chain (VC) where capacity will be built to improve the productivity of a prioritize Value Chain and creation of market linkage for the same, micro-projects and multi community projects will be implemented for the prioritized VCs.
